UiTM Dungun crash: Muhammad Akmal's family undecided on meeting suspect

SHAH ALAM: The family of the late Muhammad Akmal Md Tukirin have not yet decided whether to meet with the woman involved in the accident that led to his death.

Sinar Ahad reported that Md Tukirin Saringat, 60, and Rafeah Buang, 50, have been unable to eat or sleep since the incident took the life of their second child out of four siblings.

Their son, Mohamad Fahrulradzi Md Takirin, 28, said the couple were deeply affected by the incident.

"They don't know yet; they haven't thought about it. They can't focus on anything else... Perhaps once things settle down, they will feel a bit more stable," he told Sinar Ahad.

However, the mother of the late Ku Adib Aizad Ku Azmi expressed no objections to meeting the female suspect. Berita Harian assistant news editor Hafizah Iszahanid said she would attend the meeting if it takes place.

"Thank God, my husband and I are doing fine," she said.

Previously, the management of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UiTM) Terengganu announced plans to help arrange a meeting between the victim's family and the female suspect.
