Deputy Finance Minister Lim recovering following surgery

KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Finance Minister Lim Hui Ying, who underwent surgery last Friday, will be on medical leave until Oct 16.

"This decision follows the advice of her doctor to ensure a full recovery," said a statement from the office of the Deputy Finance Minister.

The statement added that she is currently recovering at home and has been assured that she will fully recuperate within the designated timeframe.

"Despite being on medical leave until early November, Lim is committed to returning to work on Oct 17, coinciding with the start of the Third Meeting, Third Session of the 15th Parliament and the presentation of the Budget 2025," the statement added.

Lim, who is also the Tanjong member of parliament, has confirmed that the Tanjong MP Service Centre will continue to operate as usual.

She extends her heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their support and prayers and hopes to return to her duties healthy and energised soon, the statement added.
