PETALING JAYA: The swift action of the fire department saved the life of an elderly man who was trapped in a fire at a bungalow on Jalan SS 3/52 today.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said they received information about the incident at 6.57am.
"A total of 21 firemen along with four fire engines from the Petaling Jaya, Damansara, and Penchala Fire and Rescue Stations were dispatched to the scene.
"The fire involved a two-storey bungalow, with the ground floor of the house being 50 per cent burned," he said in a statement today.
He added that they successfully rescued an elderly man who was trapped in the incident.
"The victim did not sustain any injuries.
"Firefighting operations are currently underway at the location," he said.
