PUCHONG: GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd has denied allegations linking the company to child exploitation
In a statement on Wednesday, it added that they were ready to cooperate with the authorities to solve the issue.
Their response follows news that police had raided 20 welfare homes linked to the company early today morning.
Earlier, Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain confirmed that the homes raided were linked to the Global Ikhwan Group.
"We are aware of the recent viral issue on social media linking our company to allegations of exploiting children as workers.
"We hereby deny the accusations and affirm that we will never compromise with any activity that violates the law, especially involving children as workers," it said.
It added that the issue is prejudice, defamatory and has malicious intent to create a negative perception of GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd.
"Our stance is very clear to always obey the law and support the government's aspirations in developing the country.
"We are ready to cooperate with the authorities to resolve this issue," it said adding that they prayed to Allah so that all the slander, prejudice and hatred can be stopped.
It added that they were hopeful for everyone to live with love, tolerance and to help each other in building a civilised society as aspired by the country's leadership.
