JOHOR BARU: A 68-year-old man escaped unharmed after his car plunged into a drain in Taman Perling yesterday.
Johor Baru (North) police chief Assistant Commissioner Balveer Singh said preliminary investigations indicated that the senior citizen was driving in the right lane of a three-lane road.
A taxi, which was in the middle lane, suddenly entered the right lane, causing the senior citizen to swerve to avoid it.
However, he crashed into another vehicle in the right lane before crashing into the drain.
All drivers were unharmed.
Earlier, a picture of the senior citizen's blue Toyota Vios in the drain went viral on social media.
