KINABATANGAN: A baby boy was killed and his parents critically injured when their car collided with another vehicle on Jalan Kampung Paris 2 here, late last night (Aug 13).
The accident also left four others, who are believed to be related to the victims, seriously injured.
Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Fire Chief Azlan Shah Jamalludin said the department received a call about the incident at 12.38am.
He added that the collision involved two vehicles, a pickup truck and a sports utility vehicle.
"There were six victims trapped in the SUV, and the team worked to extract all of them.
"They were then handed over to the ambulance service for transport to the nearest hospital for further treatment," he said when contacted today.
He added that a baby in the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene.
