KUALA LUMPUR: An abandoned restaurant in Jalan Batu Tiga, Klang was razed in a fire tonight.
A spokesman from the Klang Selatan Fire and Rescue Department said it received a report on the blaze which began at a bungalow unit. A team from four fire and rescue stations were sent to control the blaze.
"The report by the operation's commander (Nasaruddin Mokhlas) said the blaze involved an abandoned restaurant. It is a Class A building measuring 60 by 70 sq ft which was 65 per cent razed."
The incident did not involve any victims and the operation ended at 8.55pm when the fire was put under control," an initial report said.
A 23-member team on four fire and rescue tenders, an Emergency Medical Rescue Services vehicle and water tanker were dispatched from Klang Selatan, Klang Utara, Andalas and Shah Alam fire and rescue stations.
