KUANTAN: The four suspects arrested in connection with the murder of a housewife, found strangled in her home on Aug 14, were released on police bail today.
Kuantan police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu confirmed that the investigation had been concluded.
"The investigation papers have been submitted to the deputy public prosecutor's office. The four suspects, who were remanded on Aug 15, were released on bail today," he said in a text message.
The suspects were the victim's husband, father, father-in-law, and mother-in-law. They were questioned to help clarify the circumstances surrounding the woman's death.
In the incident, the 28-year-old woman, who was initially reported missing, was discovered dead in her home in Indera Mahkota, having been strangled.
No signs of forced entry were found, and the victim's phone and car keys were reported missing.
