JOHOR BAHRU: A Johor executive councillor's driver has been reprimanded after he stopped his car in the middle of the road to confront another motorist.
A video of the incident, which shows state Investment, Trade, Consumer Affairs, and Human Resources committee chairman Lee Ting Han's driver scolding another motorist, has gone viral.
Lee said the state government has issued his driver a warning.
"It's an old incident, it is just that the video only recently went viral," he said when contacted.
"My driver admitted to his actions because the other driver (who was confronted) was driving dangerously."
Lee, who was not in the car at the time, said his driver wanted to advise the other motorist.
"Perhaps his approach and tone were not appropriate."
He said the driver has also been told to cooperate with the authorities on any probe into the incident.
Lee apologised on behalf of his driver.
Meanwhile, Johor Baru Selatan police chief, Assistant Commissioner Raub Selamat said no report was lodged on the incident which happened last December.
