KLANG: An elderly woman suffered injuries to her face, chest and elbow when she was robbed of her necklace at Taman Mewah Baru 1 here.
South Klang police chief Assistant Commissioner Cha Hoong Fong said the 67-year-old victim went out for exercise at around 6.30am on Aug 8.
"She claimed that a blue car suddenly stopped behind her and a man got out and grabbed her necklace.
"The suspect then entered the same vehicle and fled the scene with another suspect who was believed to be in the driver's seat," he said in a statement on Tuesday.
He said the woman suffered injuries to her face, chest and left elbow following the incident.
"The victim claimed the necklace was worth at least RM3,000.
"On Aug 16, a team from the South Klang Criminal Investigation Department Serious Crimes (D9) Unit arrested two men aged 18 and 23," he said, adding that both suspects have two prior records.
He said following the arrest of both suspects, police have identified one more suspect still at large who was allegedly involved in the case.
"We are now looking for Nimel A/L Mohan @Palla, (MyKad number, 920702-10-6435).
