KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested four individuals believed to be involved in an attempted robbery in front of a petrol station on the Shah Alam Expressway (Kesas), early yesterday morning.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said all four suspects involved in the attempt to rob a 37-year-old technician near a petrol station on the Kesas highway have been arrested.
He said the arrest was made yesterday evening at about 5.30pm by a team of investigators from the Subang Jaya district Serious Crimes Investigation Division (D9) around the Shah Alam and Klang area.
"All those arrested, local men aged between 30 and 41, will be brought to the Shah Alam Court today for a remand application," he said.
Hussein added that police also seized a car and a motorcycle believed to have been used in the attempted robbery incident.
A 46-second dashcam recording of the incident has since gone viral on social media.
The victim lodged a report over the incident early yesterday morning.
In the viral video, a car and a motorcycle was seen blocking the victim's vehicle with several men armed with sticks trying to attack him.
The rider got off the motorcycle and approached the other vehicle, which was parked in front of it, opening the back door of the vehicle and grabbing an object.
He then ran towards the complainant's vehicle as it tried to flee the scene.
