KUALA LUMPUR: A company operations assistant has been arrested for allegedly flashing at his female colleague at an office in Ampang.
Ampang Jaya police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail said the incident occurred at 9.15am on July 12.
"The complainant, a 44-year-old woman, was at her office at Putra Plaza Ampang when the suspect opened his trousers and showed her his genitals.
"She panicked and immediately ran to the parking lot," he said in a statement today (Wednesday).
He said following investigations, police arrested the 48-year-old suspect at 5.30pm on Monday near a condominium at Taman Industri Lembah Jaya.
"The suspect works as a company operations assistant. A urine test on the suspect came back negative for drugs.
"He has been remanded for four days as we investigate the case under Section 509 of the Penal Code and Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act for outraging the modesty of a person, and insulting behaviour administered with intention of disturbing the peace," he said.
