IPOH: A woman was allegedly fatally stabbed by her husband during an argument at their house at 8.30am in Kampung Simee.
The incident was witnessed by their 12-year-old daughter.
It is understood that the victim and her 56-year-old husband were arguing before the suspect allegedly hit the woman on the head and stabbed her repeatedly.
According to family members, the woman had often been a victim of domestic violence.
When reporters arrived at the scene at 11.02am, they found that a crowd, including the victim's family members, had gathered around the area, with police officers seen carrying the body into a van.
The suspect had been detained by the police at the scene.
Perak Police Chief Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said that further investigation was being done.
"Wait for the full report from Ipoh (Ipoh district police headquarters)," he said.
