KUALA LUMPUR: A businessman who prefers to be known as 'Mr E' has confirmed he received a special birthday greeting from popular actress and singer Erra Fazira, which went viral yesterday.
While acknowledging they are in the getting-to-know-you phase, the 44-year-old emphasised that their relationship is currently limited to being good friends.
"Yes, we are good friends, but I prefer not to comment further as I am not part of the entertainment world like Erra," he told BH Online.
"Erra and I have known each other for a long time, but we've only grown close recently.
"There's nothing beyond friendship between us at this stage."
He added, "I hope this doesn't create unnecessary pressure on either of us. Thank you for your kind prayers."
Mr E also praised Erra as a mature and professional individual.
"I appreciate her maturity and openness, which makes it easy to discuss anything with her. Our friendship is based on compatibility and her great personality."
Earlier, Erra admitted to being in the dating phase but refrained from providing further details.
She thanked fans for their well-wishes.
