KUALA LUMPUR: A famous comedian was reportedly arrested at Jeddah Airport, Saudi Arabia, two months ago for allegedly possessing marijuana while en route to perform Umrah.
The incident, reported yesterday by Harian Metro, has shed light on his absence from several performances by a legendary comedy group he is part of.
Fans noticed the comedian's absence since mid-November, particularly during the group's various shows including in Sabah.
Speculation about his "disappearance" arose, though most assumed he was unwell or tied up with other commitments.
The group, which recently reunited, has continued performing actively across the country despite his absence.
Attempts by Harian Metro to contact group members for comments were unsuccessful, as calls and messages went unanswered.
