KUALA LUMPUR: Hong Kong singer Jeannie Ng Ka-yan has announced her breakup with billionaire heir Justin Ma, just nine months after making their relationship public.
According to Cinema Online, the 26-year-old artiste shared the news in a recent Instagram Story, asking for privacy.
"Yes, I have broken up. I hope you give us some private space.
"I will no longer respond after this. Thank you once again for your concern and understanding," she wrote.
Ng and Ma, the son of Tai Sang Land Development Limited CEO William Ma, went public with their relationship in March after her split from actor Locker Lam.
At the time, she described Ma as attentive, kind, and supportive, revealing they had been dating for six months.
Speculation about their split began last month when fans noticed Ma's mother, socialite Fanny Hsieh, had deleted a photo of herself with Ng from Instagram.
Ng also avoided discussing Ma or Hsieh in recent interviews.
Debuting as a solo singer in 2021, Ng has released Chinese and English songs like Not Too Close, Hell No, and Midnight Serenade.
She has also appeared in films and TV series like the ViuTV drama, You Only Live Once.
