KUALA LUMPUR: "Praise be to God. May He ease everything," wrote Datin Patimah Ismail in an Insta-story she shared last night.
In the post, the wife of filmmaker Datuk Yusof Haslam shared two photos featuring the two of them with their estranged son, film director Syamsul, who was said to have not returned to the family home nor met them outside in the past two years.
Also in one of the pictures was Syamsul's daughter Sumayyah, as well as his former wife Puteri Sarah Liyana.
Meanwhile, Yusof was also grateful for the recent development in his family.
"Alhamdulillah, Syamsul has returned to the family home. We had dinner together in my house," he said in a Berita Harian report today.
"Syafiq was also at home to welcome his brother back. I thank God that our, prayers have been answered.
"Before this, my wife and I had never stopped praying for Syamsul to return home," he said.
It was reported earlier that his son had stopped visiting them at home since he married Ira Kazar in January last year.
However, on Sept 5, he divorced Ira with a single talak after 21 months of marriage.
