KUALA LUMPUR: Film director and actor Syamsul Yusof says he prefers to solve the issue between him and his parents at home, rather than sharing the details for all and sundry.
The 40-year-old artiste said this in a Harian Metro report today in response to questions about his relationship with his parents by reporters who gathered around him outside the Kuala Selangor Syariah Court earlier today.
"Family matters should be resolved only among family members.
"As I said, I prefer not to share details about personal matters with the media. It might get blown out of proportion.
"That's all I can say," he said.
Earlier, his father Datuk Yusof Haslam was reported to have said: "I pray that Syamsul will be strong in facing his marital problem. Take this as a lesson."
Meanwhile, Syamsul and Ira Kazar are now divorced by a single talak, after the court confirmed today that the divorce by taklik made outside the courtroom was valid.
