#TECH: First Apple Store in Malaysia to open on June 22

KUALA LUMPUR: Apple has confirmed that its first official Store in Malaysia is set to open on June 22 at the TRX Exchange Mall. If you've been to the mall and ventured outside, you've probably come across a unique, squarish, cordoned building, which is said to be the first Apple Store in Malaysia.

The Apple Store at TRX Exchange will be the sixth Apple Store in the region, with Singapore having three and Thailand two.

You may be wondering what the differences are between the Apple Store and the existing Apple Premium Resellers (APRs) like Machines, Switch, and others we currently have here. While the products and prices are the same, the concept and experience are different.

If you've been to any Apple Store overseas, whether in Thailand, Singapore, China, Europe, or even the US, you may have noticed the differences.

Firstly, there is the unique and sheer size of the store, which is normally bigger than the APRs, offering more products to experience.

Besides the size of the store, there are sections and activities not offered by the APRs. These include activities like "Today at Apple", which is a free learning session normally led by Apple experts called Creatives, covering a wide range of topics such as photography, art and design, coding, video, music, accessibility, business, and education.

Additionally, there is a section in the store called the Genius Bar, where users can get expert service and support on everything from setting up their device to recovering their Apple ID to replacing a screen.

There are also live one-to-one sessions that help you set up your device and get it ready to use. Apple staff can show you how to get more from the products you love and even share their favourite tips.
