The proposed name change was approved and reserved by the Companies Commission of Malaysia as of December 9.
The 30-stock index opened higher at 1,603 points.
It is likely to trend between the 1,600 and 1,610 range today.
In the crypto market, Bitcoin traded lower at RM445,030.
Ethereum stood at RM17,274 and Solana was down at RM1,006.
