KUALA LUMPUR: National No. 2 Rachel Arnold moved up to a career best ranking of 18th in the world.
Her previous best was 19th after winning the China Open in Shanghai on Nov 5.
"I'm very pleased. It's been a long time coming, I've been aiming for the top 20 for a while now and this is definitely just the beginning," said Rachel.
National chief coach Ajaz Azmat said: "Rachel is playing her best squash to date and I'm sure that she can further improve her world ranking."
Asian champion S. Sivasangari, who lost to world junior champion Amina in the semi-finals of both the Malaysia Cup and Singapore Open, dropped one rung to 10th.
National men's No. 1 Ng Eain Yow, who won the Malaysia Cup title, moved up one rung to 13th.
