KUALA LUMPUR: Pahang edged Selangor 1-0 in a Group A match to register their fourth consecutive win in the Razak Cup hockey tournament at Taman Daya Stadium in Johor Baru today.
Earlier, Pahang beat Singapore (18-0), Perlis (7-2) and Penang (3-2).
Pahang's all-important goal against Selangor was scored by Syamil Azim Dzulkafly off a penalty corner in the 47th minute.
Pahang coach Sufian Mohamad said playing four matches in four days took a toll on his players.
"My players couldn't perform to their true form due to tired legs. We're glad to have a two-day break before we face hosts Johor and KL."
Meanwhile, last year's women's runners-up Selangor beat Penang 3-1 in Group A to stay on track for a place in the semi-finals.
