JOHOR BARU: Jalil Elias, the most expensive player in the M-League, is still with Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT), according to coach Hector Bidoglio.
The Argentina-born Syrian international last donned JDT colours when they defeated Negri Sembilan 3-1 on May 18.
Bidoglio said defensive midfielder Elias is still training with the Southern Tigers squad.
"He is a good player, but we also have a strong lineup of midfielders," Bidoglio said.
There has been widespread speculation that Elias, who is valued at three million euros (RM15.2 million), might be leaving the club.
However, there has been no official announcement regarding his status from JDT.
After four matches, JDT remain at the top of the league with 12 points.
On Saturday, JDT recorded their fourth victory when they defeated Sri Pahang 3-0 at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium, Iskandar Puteri, with Heberty Fernandes scoring a hat-trick.
