KUALA LUMPUR: Mixed doubles Hoo Pang Ron-Cheng Su Yin continued their giant-killing run at the China Masters as they reached their first World Tour final in Shenzhen today (Nov 23).
World No. 23 Pang Ron-Su Yin toppled Hong Kong's world No. 7 Tang Chun Man-Tse Ying Suet 21-14, 17-21, 21-19 in a thrilling 65-minute semi-final encounter at the Super 750 event.
It was Pang Ron-Su Yin's second win over Chun Man-Ying Suet, a former world No. 2, in as many matches.
Pang Ron-Su Yin will take on world No. 2 Feng Yan Zhe-Huang Dong Ping of China, who ousted 10th-ranked Malaysian pair Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei 21-18, 21-13, in the final tomorrow (Nov 24).
Yan Zhe-Dong Ping beat Pang Ron-Su Yin in their only meeting at the Hong Kong Open in September.
