KUALA LUMPUR: Rosman Razak appears set to take over as the national women's doubles coach after being seen alongside BA of Malaysia (BAM) coaching director Rexy Mainaky during the Malaysia Super 100 at Juara Stadium, Bukit Kiara here today.
Rosman, who is expected to succeed Hoon Thien How, arrived with Rexy just before the women's doubles final featuring national pair Teoh Mei Xing-Go Pei Kee.
After the Malaysian pair's 22-20, 21-11 victory over Taiwan's Nicole Gonzales Chan-Yang Chu Yun, both Rosman and Rexy were seen leaving together.
The pair were spotted in discussion, with Rosman likely observing the performance of Mei Xing-Pei Kee ahead of his imminent appointment at the Academy Badminton Malaysia (ABM).
Currently coaching the independent men's doubles pair Ong Yew Sin-Teo Ee Yi, Rosman had previously served as the national women's doubles coach until the end of 2020.
As expected, Rexy declined to comment on Rosman's presence at the event.
BAM have also yet to announce the new national men's singles coach, with Mulyo Handoyo, former coach of Taufik Hidayat, tipped for the role.
