KUALA LUMPUR: National shuttler Justin Hoh captured his second title of the season at the Saipan International today.
World No. 92 Justin outplayed Japan's world No. 143 Ryoma Muramoto 21-16, 21-18 in 41 minutes at the Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium.
The Kuala Lumpur-born Justin had earlier bagged the Slovenia Open title in May.
But the 20-year-old missed out on another title last week after going down to Taiwan's Cheng Kai in the Northern Marianas Open final.
The Saipan success is Justin's third International Challenge title as he had also won the Malaysia and Uganda tournaments in 2022 and 2023 respectively.
When Justin emerged as the 2019 Asian Junior champion, he was touted as the next big thing in Malaysian badminton but injuries curtailed his progress.
However, things seem to be looking up for Justin this year with two titles under his belt.
