KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's world No.1 boys doubles Kang Khai Xing-Aaron Tai advanced to the final of the Badminton Asia Junior Championships in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, today.
They defeated China's Xiao Gao Bo-Xue Zi Yu 21-13, 21-14 in the last eight, and in the semi-finals, they ousted Taiwan's Hung Ming Chen-Cheng Han Tsai 21-15, 21-10.
In the title decider, Khai Xing-Aaron will face China's fifth seeds Ke Yuan Hu-Lin Xiang Yi, who defeated compatriots Chen Jun Ting-Liu Jun Rong 25-23, 21-17 .
In the girls' category, singles Siti Zulaikha Azmi and doubles Ong Xin Yee-Carmen Ting fell in the semi-finals.
Second seed Siti Zulaikha lost to China's third seed Xu Wen Jing 21-15, 21-17.
