KOTA KINABALU: The Backbenchers Club (BBC) Sabah members are in solidarity with Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
Despite the calling from the opposition for Hajiji to step down, its chairman Datuk Dr Yusof Yacob said that they would give their solid support for him.
Over past few days, several parties have demanded Hajiji to step down following videos linking Sabah assemblymen to bribery related to mining licences.
When asked about the perception of the grassroots towards Sabah assemblyman in general, Dr Yusof, who is also Sindumin assemblyman, said that they would let the authorities do their jobs.
"I think the community has a high education level and they can make their own assessment. But, for us, we will not be dragged and we will focus on helping the people," he said.
