KUALA LUMPUR: Cheras member of Parliament Tan Kok Wai returned as the Federal Territory DAP chairman for the 2024 - 2026 term following today's party polls.
He obtained 191 votes to secure one of the 15 spots in the Federal Territories's party committee.
Also retaining their positions are Bukit Bintang MP Fong Kui Lin and Seputeh MP Teresa Kok, who will continue to serve as the party's deputy chairman and vice chairman after the polls.
Fong received 137 votes, while Kok garnered 121 votes.
Segambut MP Hannah Yeoh, who garnered the third-highest votes of 180, moved up the ladder after she was named as one of the Federal Territories DAP vice chairmen.
Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng, who received the highest vote count of 191, continues to serve as the secretary for the federal territories chapter, while Yap Yee Vonne, with 189 votes, remains as the assistant secretary.
