KUALA LUMPUR: Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today called on all Barisan Nasional component parties to move forward and work together to strengthen the coalition.
In his policy speech at the Umno General Assembly here, Zahid said Umno is aware that its partners in BN, at times, felt slighted by the party in the past.
"Let us continue to engage with our friends from MCA, MIC, PBRS (the United Sabah People's Party) as well as Friends of BN.
"We are aware that they, at times, feel slighted with us.
"Let us work together and prove it in (the) Mahkota (state seat by-election)," he said.
Among BN component party leaders who attended the ceremony today were MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, MIC president Tan Sri S.A Vigneswaran, and PBRS president Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup.
"InsyaAllah, after Mahkota, let us arrange (the workflow) between us," he said.
