KUALA LUMPUR: A woman's daily mission to feed a lonely stray puppy has captured the hearts of over two million viewers, sparking a wave of support for the abandoned animal.
TikTok user @cukcam.my shared emotional footage of her feeding the puppy, named Sardine, after it followed her motorbike, drawn by the scent of canned fish.
"This little one started trailing behind my motorcycle when it smelled my sardine can," she wrote in the heartwarming video.
The once-timid puppy, found alone at a construction site, has slowly warmed to her presence, responding eagerly to her voice.
Despite their growing bond, @cukcam.my hopes to find a permanent home for Sardine, while highlighting the issue of abandoned street dogs.
"These street dogs exist because owners fail to neuter their pets and abandon them on the streets," she said.
Her dedication has resonated deeply with viewers, who have flooded the comments with support and donations for Sardine's care, including funds for the puppy's neutering surgery.
In a recent update, @cukcam.my revealed that the surplus funds would be used to feed Sardine and other strays at the shelter.
