#NSTviral: Double-parker mocked for seeking 'culprit' who broke car window

KUALA LUMPUR: A Malaysian woman is facing public backlash after seeking help on social media to identify the person who smashed her car window—following her admission that she had double-parked in a hospital parking lot.

The woman posted a photo of her damaged car window on Facebook, asking for information on the person responsible.

She acknowledged double-parking at the Hospital Kajang parking lot on Nov 11 around 1pm and requested witnesses or dashcam footage to identify the culprit.

In her appeal, she wrote: "If anyone witnessed the incident at that time, please come forward as a witness. Dashcam footage from cars in the area would be especially helpful."

Comments quickly poured in, mocking the irony of her request.

One user remarked: "Serves you right. Don't bother looking for dashcam recordings—you'll just embarrass yourself."

Another, Iffa Farisha, commented: "Why look for the 'perpetrator'? You double-parked, so face the consequences. Next time, leave your contact number and avoid blocking others."

It was later revealed in the comments that she had indeed left her contact number on the dashboard, but a caption in the related video claimed multiple calls went unanswered.

Instead of sympathy, netizens were quick to criticise her.

User Bobby Al Faid advised her to let the incident go, as she had acknowledged her fault and shouldn't place blame on others for the consequences of her own actions.
