KUALA LUMPUR: A group of customers in Terengganu recently placed an order for a variety of dishes at a well-known roadside stall, totalling RM410 for takeaway.
A viral video posted by @umi_nasi_lemak on TikTok shows the group selecting their preferred meals, including seven packs of nasi lemak, along with large portions of various seafood dishes at Ma Ani Selera Kampung, a roadside stall in Dungun, Terengganu.
Alongside the nasi lemak, other seafood dishes such as squid, giant prawns, fried chicken, quail eggs, fish, and lobsters are served separately, topped with hot sauce (sambal).
Before packing the food, Umi quickly counts the items to total up the order.
The video garnered 1.8 million views and 53,300 likes, shocking netizens with the pricing of the ordered items.
@nafsiahishak said "I sell nasi lemak too, but these prices scare me."
User @Misz Lynn said "if you take lobster and giant squid, of course it's costly and if you just want to eat, nasi lemak with chicken and egg should be enough."
Another user @Baalip ba ya said "it's their money, so let them enjoy it."
@Along said "I can only afford regular nasi lemak."
User @Kazuyaaa highlighted "for me, it's totally worth it, just try buying one whole lobster, even uncooked, and see how much a size like that costs."
