KUALA LUMPUR: A woman who came in last in a marathon here recently could not help but crack a smile when other runners cheered her on as she approached the finish line.
In a video posted by @rizauw which has now gone viral, the woman could be seen crossing the finish line while others who finished the race clapped for her.
"Come on Kak, you can do it," some were heard saying in the video which has since garnered 367,700 likes and 23,400 likes.
Many social media users have showered praise on the lady for her determination to finish the marathon.
"Malaysians are truly amazing! That's the spirit we want!" said @Tehasaf.
"This is something to be proud of. Great job, sister! That unwavering spirit is what we need," said another user, @parkamZX.
Another user, @Jah Lempoyaangg said, "It's better to try than not to try at all!".
Others said they were inspired by the video that they wanted to sign up for a marathon, while another said it was heartwarming to see Malaysians of all races cheering for the woman.
