KUALA LUMPUR: A delivery rider has revealed difficulties in his work, having to deal with lewd messages from customers while on the job.
In a series of photos, TikTok by user @mifzz57 shared several "disturbing" screenshots of customers offering different modes of "payment" for their food delivery.
He said delivery riders faced such trials and expressed his frustration with these experiences, captioning the post with "What a fate."
In one of the screenshots, a customer allegedly offered to invite a delivery rider into their house, saying that they were staying alone at home.
In the comment section, netizens expressed shock over the situation, with some offering support.
User @Dong Chai said: "This is why I stopped working in the middle of the night."
@Nabilla Nur said it was heartbreaking to see riders facing such challenges.
"It's sad that even finding honest work is difficult for riders," she said.
Another user, @whosche, prayed for the delivery rider's health and safety.
"May the man continue to be healthy while seeking a livelihood. (May he be) protected from any calamities and always be under Allah's care."
User @BLACKMARIA7 said the screenshots explained why delivery riders always seemed scared and wanted to rush after dropping off items.
"No wonder if someone delivers food or items to me, they all seem scared and want to leave quickly, as if I'm a ghost…turns out..."
Meanwhile, @Belle Ahmad said it was her first time hearing about a rider having such an experience.
"This is my first time hearing about a rider going through this; stay safe, bro, and may you always be protected from bad people," she said.
