KUALA LUMPUR: The Internet is abuzz with excitement after videos of an individual who bears a striking resemblance to the Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, surfaced on social media.
The uncanny similarity has left netizens in awe, with the videos shared by two different TikTok users.
The two videos, which have garnered 1.3 million views altogether, showcase the man going about his daily activities.
In the first video lasting six seconds by user @mohdfarhan5872, the individual can be seen in a casual setting, engaging with the camera in a light-hearted manner while sitting on a motorcycle.
"Tengku Hassanal having fun chatting on other people's motorcycle," the caption said.
Meanwhile, another video shared by user @mhmdhrzm, an individual believed to be working in an e-commerce company, further solidified the resemblance to the royal figure.
Netizens were excited to see the lookalike with some poking fun at the individuals in the comment section.
"The problem is, he is 'more' Tengku Hassanal than Tengku Hassanal himself," user @porterklpokok jested.
"How many lookalikes are there now? There was a baby that looked like Tengku Hassanal before, and now this guy too," says user @reramaaa.
"From the side, he looks like Tengku Hassanal. But in the front, he resembles Jericho Rosales (Filipino actor)," user @nrchaera said.
