KUALA LUMPUR: FashionValet co-founder Datin Vivy Yusof has expressed trust in the judicial system to clear their names.
Vivy who previously kept mum since being probed by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) following reports of investment losses by Khazanah Nasional Bhd (Khazanah) and Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) in FashionValet amounting to RM43.9 million broke her silence on Instagram today.
"We had to take a moment to process what had happened and how the situation had progressed.
"Following a month-long investigation by the MACC, we were informed on Thursday of allegations against us concerning a transaction in 2018.
"We are unable to discuss the case, but we will continue to give our full cooperation to the process," she said.
Vivy said they trust the judicial system to resolve the case and hope that their names will eventually be cleared.
"We trust the judiciary system will bring resolution to the case in hopes of ultimately clearing our names.
"As this process continues, we hope to gain some normalcy again, especially for the sake of our loved ones," she said.
Last Thursday, Vivy and her husband Datuk Fadzaruddin Shah Anuar have claimed trial at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court to charges of criminal breach of trust involving Khazanah and PNB investment funds totalling RM8 million, allegedly committed six years ago.
Vivy, whose full name is Vivy Sofinas Yusof, 36, and Fadzaruddin, 35, pleaded not guilty before Judge Rosli Ahmad.
The couple, acting together as agents in their capacity as directors of FashionValet Sdn Bhd (FV), were entrusted with the funds from Khazanah and PNB.
They allegedly committed a criminal breach of trust by dishonestly transferring RM8 million from FV's bank account to another company, 30 Maple Sdn Bhd, without the approval of FV's board of directors.
The offence was allegedly committed at a bank branch in Plaza Damansara, Bukit Damansara, on Aug 21, 2018.
