"Izhar is the only one vying for the Youth vice chief post while three others will be vying for the wing's committee members.

"Four women will vie for the women's wing committee member and one for the Puteri wing committee member.

"We hope our delegates in all divisions in the state will give candidates from Penang their fullest support," he told a press conference at the state Bersatu office here yesterday.

Meanwhile, at the state level, Mazhar said a total of 391 nomination papers were received, of which 323 were eligible to contest for various positions.

He also said 10 of the 13 divisions in the state were eligible for the state-level elections while three would not be involved due to various reasons.
