Retired teacher fatally stabbed in Seremban 'a loving father'

SEREMBAN: A retired teacher who was fatally stabbed at a house near Kampung Senaling here was a loving father, said a friend.

The friend, who identified himself as only Norazizan, 66, said he was shocked upon hearing the news and immediately sought more information from others.

He said he had known the victim since childhood as their parents lived near each other in Kampung Gamin near Kuala Pilah.

"The victim was a year older than me, and we were quite close. However, after we both got married and started working, we lost touch.

"When I received the viral message, I was shocked and saddened. Today, I came to the morgue to see him for the last time and meet his children to learn what happened.

"If possible, I would like to help bathe the body as I have experience in handling funerals. I also encourage his children to participate in the process," he said when met at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital Forensic Medicine Department today.

Norazizan said the victim was a friendly man who valued his children's education.

"All of his children are university graduates. He was a loving father, especially towards his child with disabilities.

"I hope the family remains strong during this ordeal and accepts it with patience and faith. My condolences to the family."

It was reported that the elderly man had died last night after allegedly being stabbed by his son at a house in Kampung Senaling, Kuala Pilah, about 4.40pm yesterday.

The 65-year-old man was reportedly attempting to persuade his son, who holds a mental disability card and allegedly wanted to commit suicide.

The 32-year-old suspect, who left the scene after the incident in a car, was later found lying by the roadside near Pekan Senaling and was pronounced dead.
