PORT KLANG: The Customs Department has seized 11 luxury vehicles that were brought into Malaysia without valid permits.
The vehicles, which include a Porsche, two Mini Coopers, a Range Rover, a Toyota Alphard, a Suzuki Jimny, and five Mercedes-Benz cars, are valued at a minimum of RM3.69 million.
Customs Department Central Zone assistant director general Norlela Ismail said that the 11 vehicles were seized during Op Longkai, conducted between July and August this year.
"We inspected a warehouse here and discovered the 11 vehicles, which are believed to have been imported four years ago.
"According to our checks, none of these vehicles had the necessary permits for importation," she told a press conference at the North Port Customs Department office today.
