Through their latest ad, the telco wants to show Malaysians how they can express their patriotism beyond just National Day.
Maxis believes that it is not just on National Day that we should express our patriotism. In fact, it is sometimes in the little, often unnoticed actions that truly define one's national spirit.
The video is inspired by the true story of Aiman Ariffin, an 18-year-old who took it upon himself to clean the waste left behind by thousands of Malaysians at KLCC Park during the 2019 National Day celebrations.
During the National Day countdown, Aiman, who had been eagerly enjoying the festivities, was suddenly struck by the sight of rubbish strewn across the event grounds.
Without hesitation, he began picking up the trash, an action that caught the attention of onlookers.
Soon, others joined in, including vendors who handed out plastic bags to help with the clean-up.
This spontaneous act of responsibility not only highlighted Aiman's commitment to his country but also resonated with many, as videos of his efforts circulated on social media.
Aiman's story is a powerful reminder that small, thoughtful actions can inspire others and contribute to a greater cause.
