KUALA LUMPUR: The Human Resources Ministry (Kesuma) and HRD Corp will organise National Training Week (NTW 2024), a free training week for Malaysians, from today to June 30.
Aimed at 200,000 participants, the initiative will offer 60,000 free training courses and more than 700 learning activities by HRD Corp and its partners throughout the country.
NTW 2024 features two days of learning activities through the NTW 2024 Summit and Learning Festival, which will take place at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil on June 29 and 30.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is officiating the closing of NTW 2024.
Activities include:
Pancasains from Petrosains: An interactive science and technology experience for the whole family.
'EV Experience' by Proton: Explore electric vehicle (EV) technology in the Malaysian automotive industry.
Sports Clinic: Get advice from sports experts to improve your fitness and health.
Lego Competition: Show your creativity in building and creating iconic Legos.
Book Fair from Bookxcess: Explore the world of science and literature through a diverse collection of books.
Robotics Exhibition: Experience the skills of the future with the exciting innovative technology of robotics.
MYFUTUREJOBS Career Carnival: Organised by the Social Security Organisation, this career carnival will feature more than 10,000 job opportunities from 100 employers such as Prasarana, Proton, Air Selangor and National Heart Institute.
Music Class: Show off your talent and creativity with a demonstration session with Yamaha.
During the closing ceremony, there will be a learning-themed run called Learn-a-Thon that will be attended by more than 4,000 participants.
The unique feature of this run is the pitstop locations that allow participants to learn while running with a variety of interesting information.
The two-day event will also feature more than 60 training classes for nearly 2,000 participants, featuring partnerships in various fields, covering NTW's five main cores of Life Skills, Future Skills, Creativity and Innovation, Financial Skills and Sustainable Development.
The training classes include a session with doctor and influencer Dr Malar Santhi Santherasegapan, who will talk about work-life balance, Ku Sim Ling (Aunty HR@Professional Bimbo), who will share about employee rights, and Dr Onn Akbar Ali, who will discuss health issues.
Celebrity Wan Hafizol Wan Omar, also known as Fizo Omar, will share his experience in the field of entrepreneurship, while Mohd Nasrul Faiz Abu Azal, known online as Faizdickie, will speak on how to become an authentic social media content creator.
Dr Soo Winci will share her experience as a beauty queen and how she is now an academic.
The sessions are free and open to all.
