TUMPAT: Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Muhammad V joined some 3,000 Muslims for Aidiladha prayers today at Masjid Ismaili near Pasir Pekan.
The state ruler, wearing a white robe, arrived at the mosque at about 8.45am before joining the congregants.
Accompanying him were Tengku Mahkota Kelantan Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra, Tengku Temenggong KelantanTengku Tan Sri Datuk Mohamad Rizam Tengku Abdul Aziz and Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Nassuruddin Daud.
The prayers were led by Kelantan Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIK) imam Muhamad Hana Fizi Abdullah followed by a sermon read by Kelantan Mufti, Datuk Mohamad Shukri Mohamad.
The state ruler left the mosque at around 9.30am.
Sultan Muhammad is expected to attend the "korban" ceremony in Panji tomorrow, organised by MAIK.
