KUALA LUMPUR: The level of water supply recovery in all areas affected has reached 57.5 per cent, with areas under Group 1 having fully recovered.
Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) said as of 6pm today, the water supply recovery for areas affected under Group 2 has reached 51.8 per cent, while areas under Group 3 have reached 13.2 per cent.
"The water supply recovery for Group 2 is expected to be at 3am, while Group 3 at 12pm, tomorrow.
"The duration of this water supply disruption and recovery in the affected areas will vary, depending on the location of the consumer's premises and the water pressure at the distribution system," it said in a statement, today.
Air Selangor added that water tankers to the areas still affected have been mobilised, with priority given to critical premises, such as hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funeral services centres.
It also advised users who have or will regain access to their water supply to let the taps run until the water is clear, before utilising it for daily consumption.
"We hope that consumers who have received water supply will use water prudently to ensure that the recovery process in the affected areas runs smoothly."
Seven locations throughout Klang Valley and Selangor will experience water supply disruptions due to upcoming maintenance and replacement works at Sungai Selangor Phase 1 (SSP1 WTP) water treatment plant.
The affected areas are Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor and Kuala Selangor.
