14-year-old girl reported missing at Genting Highlands

BENTONG: A 14-year-old girl has been reported missing after she was last seen in front of a restaurant at the popular hilltop resort of Genting Highlands near here on Dec 31.

District police chief Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar said a report regarding the disappearance of Nur Hidayatul Iman Abdullah was lodged by her brother at the district police headquarters at 6.40pm yesterday.

He said the girl's last known address was Ramin Apartment, Genting View, at the hilltop resort.

She was last seen in front of a restaurant in Genting Highlands on New Year's Eve.

"The missing girl is of thin build with tanned skin.

"She was last seen wearing a black Adidas sweater, a black headscarf, and black trousers," he said in a statement today.

The New Straits Times is seeking clarification from police on whether the missing girl was permanently residing at the apartment with her family or was on holiday at the resort when she went missing.

Zaiham urged anyone with information to come the nearest police station or contact the Bentong district police headquarters' control centre at 09-223 1999.
