KUALA LUMPUR: The police have arrested three suspects and are actively pursuing seven other men believed to be involved in the fatal stabbing of a 22-year-old man in his apartment.
According to reports from China Press, Padawan District Police Chief Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi confirmed that three suspects, aged between 21 and 25, were arrested around noon on Sunday, Dec 1.
The arrest took place within the jurisdiction of the Kota Sentosa police area.
Padawan is located in Serian, a township outside Kuching, in Sarawak state on Malaysia's Borneo island.
Mohd Irwan Hafiz stated that the police are still tracking down seven men believed to be involved in the case to assist with the investigation.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
It was reported that the police have confirmed the victim's identity as a manager for a talent management company.
The victim's social media page also shows that he's running a homestay business and owns over 20 units in an apartment complex in Kuching, which he rented out on both a daily and monthly basis.
Authorities are also probing whether the victim had any connections to gang activity.
The violent attack occurred in the early hours of Sunday when the 22-year-old was fatally stabbed in his apartment.
