KLANG: Missing 12-year-old Madrafataha Indal Bangsawan was reportedly seen walking around near some shotplots before she got into a dark-coloured vehicle.
Her mother, who only wished to be known as Norlia, 37, said several residents claimed to have seen her daughter before she went missing on Tuesday.
"They told us that she was walking around before she entered a black coloured vehicle. The last information we received was that she was seen in Section 13, Shah Alam, but we could not locate her there," she said when met near her flat today.
Norlia said she did not notice any change in behaviour in her daughter before the girl went missing.
"The day she went missing, i asked her if she wanted to eat instant noodles and she nodded.
"I gave her the keys to the car so that she could take the packets of instant noodles," she said, adding that Madrafataha never came back.
She said about half an hour later she went downstairs to look for her daughter but residents downstairs told her that they saw the girl walking around before getting into the vehicle.
"My head hurts just thinking about where she is right now," she said.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said police were investigating claims that the girl had entered an unknown vehicle.
"We hope the individuals who saw what transpired will come and help us in our investigations," he said today.
Yesterday, Hussein had said that a task force had been established by the South Klang police to locate the missing girl.
The task force is working to retrace her steps since she went missing on Oct 8.
It was reported that the 12-year-old girl disappeared after her mother asked her to retrieve food from a car parked at their flat in Bukit Tinggi, Klang.
She was last seen leaving the house at 2.20pm on Oct 8, wearing a green t-shirt and black track bottoms.
Her family has appealed for help in finding her.
Madrafataha is described as thin, fair-skinned, about 150cm tall, with shoulder-length hair.
Anyone with information regarding Madrafataha's whereabouts is urged to contact the Klang Selatan police headquarters at 03-33762222 or visit the nearest police station.
