KOTA BARU: A Thai man suspected to be involved in drug activities along the Kelantan-Thai border was arrested on possession of a pistol and six bullets yesterday.
The 37-year-old man, also believed to be drug addict, was detained in a raid at his home in Mundok.
A Thai police spokesman said a small bottle of heroin and a packet of methamphetamine pills was also seized from the suspect.
"A narcotics team from the Sungai Golok police station raided the house based on public tip-offs.
"After inspecting the house, they found the pistol, bullets and drugs. They then detained the suspect."
The spokesman said the suspect was being held for further action.
It is learnt that the suspect has been using the pistol for his drug activities since few months ago.
He has been crossing over to Rantau Panjang via the Golok river often to sell drugs his Malaysian counterpart in Kelantan.
