IPOH: Perak police have yet to receive any information that can be linked to the disappearance of an e-hailing driver from Kuala Lumpur, who was reported missing after dropping off his passengers in Teluk Intan.
Perak police chief Datuk Azizi Mat Aris said so far, no individual has come forward to provide information related to the case.
"If the disappearance happened in this state, then of course we will cooperate, but the investigation will be conducted under the jurisdiction of the relevant state," he told reporters here today.
It was reported by an English-language portal that Syahrul Ashraf Dahlan, 33, who resides in Pandan Indah, Kuala Lumpur, has not been in contact with his family, including his wife, since July 11.
The last communication from the victim to family members via WhatsApp indicated that he was going to transport passengers to Teluk Intan.
A police report regarding his disappearance was filed at the Pandan Indah Police Station, Kuala Lumpur, last Sunday.
The victim, who has four children aged two to nine years old, is said to have never complained of facing any problems.
