#SHOWBIZ: Farid surprised by house auction, tenant paying rent since 2019

KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Farid Kamil has expressed surprise upon learning that his double-storey house in Jenjarom, Selangor, is set to be auctioned for over half a million ringgit.

The 43-year-old artiste clarified that he has not lived in the property for over a decade, and since 2019, the tenant has managed the house loan.

"The house has been rented out since 2019, and the tenant has been paying the loan directly to the bank. "There were no issues until I discovered it was to be auctioned," he told Harian Metro.

He added that the tenant was taking steps to resolve the matter promptly.

"The tenant has promised to address the issue as soon as possible.

"I hope this clears up any speculation," he said.

Earlier, social media was abuzz with news about the property, reportedly belonging to the popular actor, being listed for public auction on Jan 22.
